I was a shop/service track manager at UP (Hinkle, OR) in the late 90s/early 00s. This unit was part of the low hp fleet based out of Hinkle. I remember this unit specifically because it had an ancient (steam era) cab signal ADU (aspect display unit). Every other locomotive in the fleet with pre-microprocessor CCS has an ADU with two aspect columns. Back in the steam days, ADUs only had one column (as shown in the photo).
