Since eastbounds were predominantly loads, the trains were heavy, and the power was in Run 8, but those C30-7A's were so quiet, you couldn't really hear 'em until they were on top of you!

Nice shot, and you are absolutly right, 12 cylinder GE's were very quiet, still are.
