Here is page ten of a 44-page report entitled "The Pennsylvania Railroad Company, Altoona Works, 1946." Photo Caption: "Altoona - 1941, Twelfth Street Car Shops. Aerial View by C.R. Hoser." Pictured at the bottom left are the Pennsylvania Railroad's ALTO Tower, the lead to the Hollidaysburg Branch, the 17th Street Bridge, and the Test Plant Buildings. Beyond them are the 12th Street Car Shops, the Passenger Station and Trainshed, the 12th Street Footbridge, the Freight Station, and the 9th Street Footbridge. Just past the 7th Street Bridge are the PRR's Passenger Car Shops, the 4th Street Footbridge, and the Finishing Roundhouse. Steam engines are still present in and about the Yards.
