National Rail Museum Portugal - CP 1225
The Class 1200, also known as Sewing Machine, was a type of diesel-electric traction locomotive used by the railway operator Comboios de Portugal . This series was completely withdrawn from service, with some locomotives sold to private operators, and others exported to Argentina. The first fifteen locomotives were fully assembled in 1961, at the facilities of Sociedades Reunidas de Fabricações Metálicas in Amadora under license from the French builder Brissonneau & Lotz.
