CB&Q #194 SILVER DINER         
CB&Q 48 seat diner #194 SILVER DINER (Budd, Lot #9624-019, November 1948), built for the CALIFORNIA ZEPHYR, to BN via merger in March 1970, planned as BN #1158, which was not applied, sold in 1971 to Amtrak as #8051, converted from steam heat to head end power (HEP) in September 1979 as #8500 (40 seats), reconfigured in January 1987 to griddle diner #8551 (48 seats), retired in June 2016 and resold at auction in January 2019 to the Fort Wayne RR Historical Society. Scanned with an Epson V550 from a duplicate 35mm slide, brand is unknown. Date and photographer are unknown.
