| According to unconfirmed but fairly reliable information, Grenland Rail is purchasing a large number of these Class 1144 locomotives from the ÖBB. These locomotives were still in use in Austria until October 2023 and then were transferred to Romania on November 3, 2023 to be scrapped. On January 7th 2024, eight 1144s (003, 010, 019, 023, 020, 018, 045, 024) went back north and finally ended up in Sweden! |
