| Class Tb is a diesel-electric locomotive used by Infra Nord of Sweden, for line service and snowploughing. Ten locomotives were built. The locomotive has a lifting plate between the bogies, which allowes the locomotive to be turned if necessary so that it could be driven from the cab end. However, due to the locomotive's weight, turning could only be done at designated locations. The Tb locomotives' distinctive engine sound can be compared to the sound of a helicopter from a distance, which sometimes confuses residents along railways. |
