Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at the Rockville Bridge near Marysville, Pennsylvania, c. 1960. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9806 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9806 was constructed in April of 1951 and retired in August of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. ("LouisFols"; #16 of 26) |
