The ex-Meriden, Waterbury and Conn River railroad crosses the Springfield Line in Meriden. The line was cut back over time starting in 1904 until by 1966 the line was a branch line which tied in at Quarry Jct to this line that went east to York Hill Quarry. York Hill Quarry bought this line in 1966 when they ended rail service. There was talk a few years ago of reactivating this line with CSOR to service it. |
