There is nothing like the steady rumble of a GP40-2 engine plus the tell-tale high pitched sound of the Leslie air horns. Combine that with seeing something like this coming down the street, and you may feel like you are in the Conrail heydays of the 80's or 90's. This is a rather rare opportunity to see a train other than a coal drag running through West Brownsville. They were all covered hoppers. This engine is former Conrail 3347 built March 1979. Unfortunately this was painted black in August 2011. |
