| The Ministry of Railways (MoR) of China ordered 500 of these HXD2B type (9.6MW 25kV) locomotives from Alstom and Chinese partner Datong Electric Locomotives in 2006 in a deal worth 1.2 billion [euro]. The first 100 locomotives are being assembled in Belfort, France, before production shifts to Datong. |
