The loco was put on display about the time the railroad was discontinued in 1959. They did a nice restoration job again in recent years. A couple of notes: It was displayed just a couplp of years after the 2nd No. 1 was put into operation at Disneyland, so they converted this loco from an 0-4-4T to a 2-4-4T just like Disney did. Also, if you study the stack carefully, you will note that it is a piece of sewer pipe. Godchaux took the original stack off to use on 0-6-4T No. 7 when it was rebuilt a few years begore. |
