| I finally was ablb to get some answers. The concrete to the left will be fitted with track and the track to the right will be done next year. The concrete track bed has pilings 8 ft deep under it. This section of the EL is tupported by a retaining wall shown in other pictures in this album. It was decided not to add to the existing wall, but rather stabilize the track structure. All this work is part of the National Gateway Project. When completed, CSX will finally be able to run double stacks on the New Castle Sub. |
