ES44AC's 8007 and 8004 lead a loaded coal train over the town of Coopers, WV on the massive 2 track trestle. On the right is the former company store of the Pocahontas Coal Company. It is now one of the many abandoned buildings in this part of the worlk. I am taking the picture from the abandoned right of way of the Norfolk and Western's Bluestone branch. The past year, NS had been storing miles of autoracks and coal hoppers on what is left of this line, but as of October, all stored cars have been removed. |
