In at least a few stations on CD, there are murals and stained glass installations dating to the Communist era. Although the Communist regime is now almost universally despised, much of the art remains, partly for historys sake, partly from neglect, and maybe also because the message of most of it, taken at face value, isnt as blatantly offensive as, for example, Nazi propaganda. Most works celebrate working people and (according to the propaganda) the equality of all people under socialism, and this stained glass seems to give a message along these lines. |
