Lots of gone stuff
Most of what you see here at the east end of Suffern yard is gone: the Comet IA, Conrail, the Ford lead the CR geep sits on, and the run-through switches on the yard lead.

correction: MNCR 5198, not NJT. These were Metro-North Comet I-As, built in 1978 bu Budd and now scrapped

correction: Actually MNCR/NJT (Doesn't Matter) was rebuilt in 1978 by Morrison Knudson from an arrow I electric mu.

These are NOT Arrow Is. Again, Budd had some surplus Arrow III shells in 1978 and used them for these cars. The Comet I-Bs were rebuilt from Arrow Is. They're now sitting on a scrap line in Ohio.

I apolize Mr. Wong. I get confused some times. These cars were one of my favorite MNCR cars on NJT. My favoites are probably the ex NJT cabs that MNCR had for a short time (5135 and 5136). If NJT left these cars in Port Jervis for a while longer they would have been scraped there because of the constant fires sent in these.
