The Atlanta & West Point Railroad depot sat between the main lines of the A&WP and the AB&C/ACL/SCL Lineville Subdivision (track visibile just to left of depot next to white shed)
The Atlanta & LaGrange Railroad reached town in February 1853 and extened on to West Point, Georgia in May 1854. In 1857, the name was changed to Atlanta & West Point Railroad

Shame that the City of La Grange did not have the good since to take charge of the old depot. They just let it go to rot and let SBD raise it.
