Eugene Cain General Very nice shot Rick. I was informed recently that CSX is ripping all this up, I was there last week and the yard is now empty. The "Pass Track" will be extended I was told. That is the track the Jordan Spreader is on. I also saw the newly rebuilt Yemassee Depot. It is very nice!!! Love these EMD Units. I live in Hardeeville, SC...about 30 miles south of Yemassee along the same tracks. I was surprised to see C&O on the Jordan Spreader!!!! Very neat Picture...an Editor's Pick!!! I posted some of my old Pictures from the 1980s here recently. Yemassee was very different then!! 9/13/2011 2:22:19 AM
Eugene Cain General Oh yeah, this Rail Train had been down in Hardeeville picking up Rail that had been removed from the #2 Track when the new rail was installed. I had seen it working at North Hardeeville a few days earlier!!! 9/13/2011 2:25:34 AM
willis ford General If you ever get a chance look at the built dates on that rail train. It was in charleston the other day and we did a break test on it and the cars are all from 1958 to 1953, The 2 flats that have the rollers on it are from the 40s. 12/17/2011 10:40:53 PM
