CR 6658
BUOI eases into Oak Island Yard as seen from the old Doremus Ave. overpass. It was rare to see the 45-2's in road service at this time and rare to see CSX power on this train. Kodachrome 200 slide.

Indeed those CSX engines was a sign of the future, plus the 6658 would become CSXT 8974, I hope 6658 was getting used to CSX here because that what she became!

The best part of this is that CR 6658 is an ex EL SD45-2(EL 3673) back in its old stomping ground, having run the Buffalo Sub, Susquehanna and Delaware Divisions of the EL to reach Jersey-and in the lead, too!! Wish I'd caught it on the Tier-I lived in Endicott then.
