Thirty-six-seat dining car 8082 was built for the Atlantic Coast Line in 1950 as the LA GRANGE and was later Seaboard Coast Line 5952. Thirteen of these diners were built by Pullman-Standard in Lot 6808: 10 for the ACL, two for the Florida East Coast and one for the Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac. One of the ACL cars was wrecked in 1959, and the RF&P car went to Mexico; but the remaining ACL cars and the FEC cars became AMTK 8080-8088 and 8090-8091. The 8082 was photographed on the PANAMA LIMITED at New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, and retired in 1977. |
