Westbound Control Signal "Fargo Yard Office." The Ex-GN "High Line" from Fargo to Grand Forks and then to Minot is the first track diverging to the right. the Ex-GN "Surry Cut-Off" heading straight to Minot and bypassing Grand Forks is the track straight ahead. The bridge used to be wooden and there used to be a round house and car shop as the entire area was the main GN yard. Today the portion from here to CTC Nolan, 43 miles away, is rarely used trains head south at Nolan and join up with the double tracked Ex-NP at Casselton and come into or leave Fargo that way. |
