SCL SD45 #2039 was built October 1971 and later became Seaboard System/CSX #8939 and VMV #8939. Unit was rebuilt to SD40M-3 and became Southern Pacific #8677

Eugene Cain General The SD45 makes the shot....and look at all the Pulpwood Cars on the left!!! I haven't seen a Pulpwood car in forever now, but they used to be so common. We don't miss something until it is gone!!! I have allways loved the trackside equipment...ie Signals, Relay Huts, Signal Houses.....Telephone Poles with all those Insulators...another thing of the past now.
