UP'S Van Buren Sub  Contributor's Pick!
UP Southbound Local Freight Train passing through Conway, Ar. I was very pleased to find that UP 1900 was still in DRGW paint & the fact that someone had removed the UP Shield Logo Patch making for a much better catch, when you zoom in for a telephoto shot it almost looks like a true DRGW GP60, but what gives it away is the newer UP number series, still looks great considering & like hitting the lottery being this is probably the last DRGW unit left on UP that doesnt have a UP Shield Logo on the nose

William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks Fred, I agree, when you use the telephoto effect it looks very much like a true DRGW GP60 coming at you, but what gives it away is the number series, but I was more than happy with this being I knew the 1 or 2 of these GP60's left in DRGW paint were UP patched, but thanks to the person that removed the nose patch it makes for a better catch 3/12/2012 11:13:10 AM
William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks Robert, I knew only a few were left, I think the other one has a UP Shield Logo Patch on the nose, unlike the 1900, unless that one was removed as well like the one on the 1900, sure was a treat to catch it. You can still see a bit of the UP Shield Logo on the nose of 1900 that didn't come off with the rest, but I'll take it over an entire patch on the nose 3/12/2012 5:17:52 PM
