Earl Karper, Sr. General George, feels really sad looking at the shell of what used to be Bay tower. I spent a lot of time there; working the o;d PC tunnel helper, sometimes while setting off southbound - event had a wreck there in about 1976 and I still remember the tower operator screaming into the radio, "WPB-4, STOP YOUR TRAIN - STOP THAT GOD d*mn TRAIN!!!" as (when I looked back I saw) a box car heading directly for the tower; coming to a stop literal within 10 feet of the building. We were on (then #1, now "A" track) and 13 cars deep wrecked taking our almost everything there at bay. The only tracks untouched were the two on the east side of the mainline leadin to the President Street Branch - We even took out the lead to Orangeville! Thanks for the memory!
