AVR 4004 (2)
One of three EMD GP40-3s working a short coal train on the SWP Railroad's Bullskin Branch. Every five minutes or so, it would shove back several more railcars into a siding for loading. There is not much wide open space to work with on this track because the trees are so close to the tracks. So I could only get a front shot. The day was wet and dreary here, but did get better later. Also more photos will be coming later, from when the train arrived in Everson, Pa. AVR 4004 was built as CBQ 620 in February 1968. Later became BN 3020, NREX 3020, KCS 4741, and KCS 2825. After a short stint at LLPX last year, it has come to the AVR in 2012. Most of its time has been spent so far helping out the sister railroad SWP.
