B&M and B&A
You are looking north into the town of Winchendon from south of the B&M/B&A diamond. On this side of the diamond to your far left is the B&A from Palmer,MA. The track coming off to the left between trainman and the diamond is the connection to the B&M's Worcester, MA - Contoocook, NH line. To the right of the trainman is a siding of the B&M's Cheshire Branch. Looking straight up the track to the right of the diamond is the B&A yard which is not big. The B&A station is to the left of the box car on the right while the B&M station is behind it to the left in the typical hip roof style. The tracks' to the left of the B&M station that you see are all B&M including the crossover which crosses from the Cheshire side to the B&A side north of the bridges but south of the water tower. Out of sight just to the right of the boxcar to the right of the B&A station is the B&A turntable and frieght house. The B&M turntable and engine house are beyond the B&A station. Lastly this side of the water tank you can make out the ball signal that protected the movements for all three routes'. A special thank you goes to Scott J. Whitney for the research of this photo.
