| Union Pacifics "Kaiser Hauler" rounds the balloon track at the east end of the railroads large West Colton Yard as it makes its way west to the nearby Kaiser Yard (named for the former Kaiser Steel mill that is serves). All trains departing the West Colton Yard leave eastbound, with the westbounds making a 180º turn on the bblloon track. Todays "Kaiser Hauler" is led `y SD59M-2 9902 (UP calls these rebuilt SD60Ms SD59MXs - the 9902 is ex-UP 2489, nee-UP 6334) and as-yet unrebuilt SD60M 2489 (formerly UP 6221). |
