| Former ATSF diner #1495, and former Amtrak 8040, at Tifton GA. Car was built by Budd in 1942 as a 36 seat diner and later reconfigured to a 48 seater. The car is currently lettered for the "Tifton Terminal Railway" as are a couple of cabooses nearby. There are indications of restoration on this car but I do not know how far the restoration is intended to go. Static display?? Excursions?? Anyone know?? |
