When I first went to Crenshaw, Miss. In November of 1997. I went across the tracks and for the first time I saw one of those Illinois Central SD70s 1000 and 1013 leading a grain train I came back in February 1998 and saw the City of New Orleans roll by Crenshaw. Years later I saw the Yazoo Sub photos of William H. Davis I thought to my self. Things changed in 9 years. When Henry said he went to Yazoo Sub he saw CN, WC, IC, DM&IR were running across the Mississippi Delta My response to a Tennessee visitor was: When I left the Yazoo Sub, I left it in Your hands, best hands I thought I could find. Im Surprised Youre seeing a Crooked Noodle from up North running around the Delta. The Man told me, C. S. When You left, we didnt have these Red and Black Noodles running like crazy. We got them here now and there isnt a d-mn thing I can do about it. I said, Yeah, we got some IC repaint locomotives and there isnt anything I can do about it either.
