Stu Nicholson General I have some shots of a sister unit (#5002) working the Logan Line between Columbus and Lancaster. The CB&NS originally bought these units from the Burlington Northern to haul loads between Sydney and Truro, Nova Scotia. Somehow, they found their way back here to the states on the I&O. 11/29/2012 10:27:32 PM
Mike Maskel General NICE SHOT AND CATCH 11/29/2012 10:48:05 PM
Harry Edmunds General This loco really gets around. I saw it on the "Colorful Joint Line" between Denver and Pueblo, Colorado in the eighties. The GP50 was a popular locomotive along the front range in those days. There are still a few of them around, even on BNSF, still wearing their black, green and white colors. A few also had black and orange tiger stripes on the front end and cab. Good shot Fred! 11/30/2012 12:23:35 PM
Harry Edmunds General Additional info: CB&NS 5004 was built in 1980 for Frisco but was delivered post-merger in BN green/black as BN 3104. It had a nose mounted single lamp Gyrolight common on some Frisco units 11/30/2012 1:04:46 PM
