| When the Frisco had to replace its long-serving GE 45tonner no11 at its isolated Blakely Island operation opposite Mobile it bought a well-traveled SW1 from BN. It's shown here soon after arriving town and prior to taking the ferry across the river to its new home. The unit started as GN 5103, and then successively GN 77, BN 77, WWV 77, SLSF 10, BN 70 and finally to US Borax in California. |
