A typical day of railfanning for me starts out in Solvay, NY at CP293 on CSX's water level route. In Solvay CSX interchanges with the Finger Lakes RR and the New York, Susquehanna & Western RR, so you can sometimes see a lot of action there. I got there around 10:00 this morning, then went to DeWitt, came back and noticed that the Geneva-Solvay turn was there. When it was obvious that they were leaving and heading back to Geneva, I decided to make the chase! Here they are approaching Vinegar Hill Road at 13:06.
