Always cool to get a request for photos. After posting a shot last week from ICGs old Sparta branch, I got a request for more along that line as they are quite rare. Turns out they are quite rare in my collection as well. This is the only one I could come up with. Not really one of my favorites, but it is one of the few I have with a GP8 on the point. This one is at North Jct. in Sparta.

Steve Eckert General I don't recognize this location... I guess a lot has changed. Where did the rusty lead right in front of us go? 11/3/2016 6:07:11 PM
TS _Illinois General I believe it's the jct on the west side of town looking east. So the ICG train would've been headed toward Red Bud 11/9/2016 12:09:11 AM
TS _Illinois General ...and the Baldwin power plant cut-off. The M&I/MoPac/UP line curves off to the right. 11/9/2016 12:11:29 AM
TS _Illinois General The lead in between the two: old industrial spur maybe. Can't remember - awful long time ago. 11/9/2016 12:12:56 AM
