| Union Pacific Railroad U25B 633 at Council Bluffs, Iowa on an unknown day in February 1963, Kodachrome by Dick Rumbolz, Chuck Zeiler collection. The slide was in poor shape, it has quite obviously been run through Photoshop. Number 633 was built in February 1962 as GE demonstrator 2501 (c/n 34239). It is one of the early production U25B's with vertical steps. Here is the footnote from utahrails.net: UP 633-636 were built as GE demonstrators 2501, 2503, 2502, 2504, with original builder's date of February 1962; sold to UP in mid July 1962. Upon delivery to UP in July 1962 the build dates were changed to reflect the new warranty date of July 1962. |
