| Like medeival sentinals, thousands upon thousands of poles just like this one line#CN track pretty well coast to coast. It probably served as a multi-purpose pole. I believe that these ones were planted when this section, of what is now CN Bala Subdivision, was built in the!1950s. Kind of a neat reflection on communication in the pre-digital era. And still standing resolute in the frozen marsh at Zephyr Creek. |
