NS Westbound Empty Coal Train 735 snakes through an s curve at Jasper, Al. on their way back to the Powder River Basin in Wyoming for more coal loads to be sent back to Plant Scherer just north of Macon, Ga. Normal routing for these trains is through Atlanta, Ga. Chattanooga, Tn. over to Sheffield, Al. & eventually Memphis, Tn. where they get back to BNSF Home Rails there, when crew availability is an issue or traffic density or maybe a curfew AKA track work is going on the empties are rerouted from Macon, Ga. through Columbus, Ga. & Birmingham, Al. where they head up the NA District to Sheffield, Al. then over to Memphis, Tn. or they can be rerouted via the East End District from Atlanta, Ga. to Birmingham, Al. & up the NA District to Sheffield, Al. & over to Memphis, Tn. where they get back to BNSF Home Rails |
