| The Am 843 is based on the standard diesel-hydraulic locomotives of type G 1700-2 BB of the Kiel railway vehicle manufacturer Vossloh. But in contrast to European standard version the SBB Am 843 are designed for the usual left-hand traffic in Switzerland. Behind the loco are salt cars, which are waiting to be filled by the nearby salt mine. |
