| This building was originally IC Warehouse No. 32, but when this photo was taken it belonged to the ICG. It was located between Tchoupitoulas Street, shown here, and the railroad's Stuyvesant Docks Yard. The building extended from Louisiana Avenue to General Taylor Street, seven blocks or about 2,300 feet, and contained almost 293,00 square feet. Prior to the construction of the new yard office at Mays Yard in the 1960's, this building also housed the offices of the railroad's Louisiana Division. It was still standing in 2013, although it is now served by the New Orleans Public Belt. |
