SRT 824
December 5th. is the King of Thailand's birthday, and every year the SRT will run its special service in observation. Here the 824 is all decked out for the occasion and taking a breather at Makkasan before rolling on to the next stop. Barely visible behind 824 is another preserved steamer making this a double header. Thai practice seems to be to put double headers back to back which is handy for bi directional operations. This is a Pacific type engine built in Japan after WW2, 1949, I think!
