Two things that used to be an almost daily occurance in Salisbury, a loaded coal train and the BNSF unit that leads it. A fairly clean pumpkin leads NS 750 around the south leg of the wye. Coal trains are few and far between as the Appalachian coal market has tanked and BNSF power used to be almost a daily occurance in Salisbury but not so much in recent years. Still, it adds a nice splash of color to the usually endless parade of thoroughbreds. |
