| The last days of class 50's in the North West quite often found them working lowly PW trains such as this, before transfer to the Western Region and better duties. 50040 received the name "Leviathan". Withdrawn in 1990, sent for scrap, reprieved then sold for preservation. Stripped of usable partts before being sold for scrap in 2008. This was the last Class 50 to be scrapped. |
