CN local passes L. C. Siding enroute to service Appleton Coated paper mill via former C&NW rails in Combined Locks, WI on 18 Feb. '14. I have long thought the station sign is wrong, but I haven’t found definitive proof yet. I presume that L. C. is short for Little Chute, which is on the opposite side of the river. Seems like the sign should be C. L. Siding, for Combined Locks. Does anyone have an old C&NW timetable handy? |
