Patrick Harris General Yes, it's a former pulpwood bulkhead flat, but it was modified to carry sections of shoo-fly track. This style of car typically accompanied a crane, boom car, and a gon loaded with spare sets of freight car trucks. If you will notice, there is a newer section inside the original bulkhead. These were to buffer the ends of the track sections and prevent them from sliding off sideways. I photographed one of these (or maybe this very one) in New Orleans in 1995. 2/25/2007 11:08:09 AM
