| D&RG class 133 number 583 at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, Colorado on August 26, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 583 was built by Baldwin in 1890 (c/n 11027), became D&RGW class C-28 number 683 in 1924, sold to San Luis Valley Southern as number 106 in May 1947, donated to CRM in 1962. It was later restored to D&RGW 683 by the museum. This is believed to be the only standard gauge D&RGW steam locomotive preserved. |
