CN local pauses on the former C&NW bridge over the Fox River while servicing the Thilmany Pulp and Paper Co. mill at Kaukauna, WI on 30 Mar. '14. Bridge was built by American Bridge Co. of New York in 1911. The rails used to extend past this red flag and rail stop to carry C&NW trains to Manitowoc, WI. Part of that former right of way through Kaukauna is now the Konkapot Creek Trail, which is a little odd because the actual stream is named Kankapot Creek. |
