GCRY 801         
Grand Canyon Railway 68-seat coach 801 was built in February 1955 as Boston & Maine RDC-2 6208 (serial No. 6011) and was sold to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority in in 1976 as MBTA 6208. It was rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen as MBTA unpowered cab car (i.e. BOISE BUDD) 1406 in 1982, tjen in 1992 it was sold to Virginia Railway Express and overhauled by General Electric at Hornell, New York as VRE car V801. It was subsequently sold to California’s JOINT POWERS BOARD and then resold to the GCRY.
