IC 9625
The former Anheuser Busch malting plant in Manitowoc is visible as the 9625 moves in to pick up c cut of cars. The 176 silo facility was closed by Anheuser Busch and sold off. Riverland Ag, of Ceres Global Ag, used the facility for grain storage until this past March when the facility was purchased by Briess Malt and Ingredients. Briess will make Manitowoc a malting facility again.

Dave Howarth Jr. General Riverland Ag no longer??? They recently put signs up over the former Anheuser Busch signs. This may explain the more recent frequency increase of hoppers down here as noted a few days ago. 5/3/2014 7:54:34 AM
Richard Hopfensperger General The purchase agreement was made on March 20, 2014, so unless something falls through, hopefully brighter days are ahead for the facility. Since Briess is out of Chilton, WI, I am optimistic. 5/3/2014 10:31:27 AM
Dave Howarth Jr. General This entire facility has the new signs in place as of July 2014. Rail service has continued and I personally have seen a small increase in traffic. 7/30/2014 4:01:08 PM
