Amtrak 2435, named PACIFIC MEADOW, at about Roosevelt Road and Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois on an unknown day in July 1982, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. There was a railroad trade show on the site of the former IC Central Station and Amtrak had a few pieces of rolling stock on display. Number 2435 was built by Budd in 1950 as UP 1426, named PACIFIC MEADOW, and that name carried over when the car became AMTK 2619, rebuilt to HEP in December 1980 and renumbered 2435. |
