Amtrak 2651, named SILVER SHORE, in Chicago, Illinois on an unknown day in March 1980, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 2651 was built by Budd on Job 9660-019, ordered in October 1945, delivered between September and November 1948. This car was one of 19 10-Roomette, 6-Bedroom (10-6) sleeping cars configured to Pullman Plan 9509. These cars were for the California Zephyr and were divided among the four participating railroads; six cars were assigned as CB&Q, five cars D&RGW, seven cars WP, and one car PRR. The Silver Shore was CB&Q number 424, later, BN 424, before going to Amtrak, retired in October 1983. It went to Quad Graphics and was assigned number PPCX 800062.
