| The Tri State RHS ran a Farewell to the CNJ trip on the eve of the line being abandoned west of High Bridge, on Nov 24 1985, The trip covered the line all the way to Easton PA, just across the river from its final regular service stop in Phillipsburg NJ. The Easton stop was made to alleviate the disembarking problems at Phillipsburg, which had actually not seen a passenger train since the end of 1983. So we got a bonus!! The cars were designated by letter, but all carried the CNJ herald, as seen here on car H. |
